UPDATE: No offense Ben, but as a Charter Member of Deaniacs Anonymous, I don't think floating a trial balloon that will only fall to earth is going to flatten anybody's ruffled feathers, should they have any.
In spite of stories like "No, Howard Dean doesn't want to be surgeon general" just yesterday, Ed Henry of CNN is now reporting, video (03:02), that he is "in the mix" and might be interested. Ben Smith says it's "more about stroking ruffled Deaniac feathers than about anything serious."
