'George W. Bush's ten-step program for destroying America' (UPDATED)

Regular visitors to this site will no doubt have own their list on their Rovian rap sheet. Jane Smiley, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1992 and bunch of other awards, lays out her indictment on The Huffington Post, where it is called "A Ten-Step Program," rather than the longer title above, which is from The Smirking Chimp. Both posts have great comments. As Howard Dean once asked, "What I want to know" .............what are we going to do about it? In addition to impeachment and a trial before the UN Court in The Hague, I'm not sure what else to do. Smiley stresses the importance of preserving our election process here. Jan Stahl on Evergreen Politics asks, "So, Can We Impeach This Clown Now?"

Update: As usual, the British are ahead of us. According to AfterDowningStreet.org:

"Not only is Scotland beautiful, but almost everyone in it opposes the war, almost everyone in it who works is in a labor union, and – above all – Scotland is the birthplace of the impeachment process. In Glasgow I spoke with Alex Salmond. He's a Member of Parliament (in London, not the Scottish Parliament), and he's the leader of the Scottish National Party. He proudly informed me that impeachment was a process that originated in Scotland before being adopted by Britain and then by the United States. He also said that there are now 87 Members of Parliament supporting the impeachment of Tony Blair over the war, that he hopes to have 100 by Christmas and 200 by January. Two hundred is what they need in order to move ahead with hearings."
