QUOTE OF THE DAY

"It's obvious that the Bush administration misled Americans about Mr. Hussein's weapons and his terrorist connections. We need to know how that happened and why."-from today's editorial in the New York Times. I am tempted to say "duh" again, but this extremely tardy, though welcome, insight is so overdue they deserve much more sarcasm than that. If media fail to hold government accountable for lies and treason, what should their punishment be? Update: Molly Ivins deconstructs the "happy horsepoop" of the Bush administration concerning our economic and financial situation: "Are they stupid, or are they lying?" -from The Free Press (OH).
