''Rejected ballots take center stage''

It's the Seattle P-I's turn to feature the Rossi campaign's talking points in its article today, "GOP likes '96 Gregoire advice," taking a page out of Rove's "flip-flop" book. The Times story takes the time to tell us, "However, Jim Pharris, a senior assistant attorney general, said the office hasn't "expressed a view" on the issue since 1990, before Gregoire was elected. The advice Munro's office was citing "was before her day and certainly nothing she was involved with," Pharris said, in their story. Update: Former Governor Booth Gardner and his wife Cynthia, boost Gregoire in their Seattle Times op ed piece, "Outcome of governor's race should reflect will of all." Update: Let's compare the Thursday morning headlines: Seattle Times has "Gregoire: I had no role in lawsuit." Seattle P-I goes with "Tedious hand recount begins," and KING5 leads with the arithmetic, "Rossi gains three votes so far in hand recount."
